As a Chief Financial Officer at Chainstack, you will be a key partner to our Co-Founders and the Leadership team. You will build, lead, and oversee the company's accounting, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement. You will take the Finance team to the next level as Chainstack is on the exciting cusp of further company growth! 

As we are operating in the US, Europe, and APAC, we are looking for someone who has experience in these markets.  

Responsibilities:  

• Oversee and maintain processes to produce accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards, including the annual external audits; act as a technical accounting expert and support the day-to-day needs of the Finance team  
• Benchmark our financial business performance and strategy against key competitors 
• Create and oversee the execution of strategic internal financial reporting, including corporate cash flow projections, capital projections, and tax forecasts 
• Manage and communicate financial and operational information with investors and financial partners, including project cash projections, equity call/distribution projections, monthly financial results, and ad hoc requests 

• Oversee the preparation of annual corporate overhead budgets and reporting to the CEO on variances 
• Participate in tax planning discussions and oversee the execution of tax planning strategies 
• Oversee the banking and treasury function and ensure strong cash management and internal controls are in place, including monitoring any debt covenants 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements; manage intellectual property rights  
• Layout strategic recommendations and identify risks and opportunities to the CEO regarding fundraising activities and capital management  

• Craft and pitch Chainstack’s investment story to the market and manage investor relations  
• Lead investment deals and work closely with the CEO in formulating and negotiating investment terms, conditions, and agreements 
• Spearhead financial modeling and reporting for the company’s go-to-market strategy and fundraising activities 
• Support the due diligence and execution of any strategic transactions, including acquisitions, financings, equity placements, and divestitures 
• Keep abreast of best-case practices on financing activity trends and strategic initiatives within the Web3 space  

Requirements:  

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance team leadership  
• Technical Accounting and Finance experience is required with experience in working with investors and auditors; knowledge of US GAAP is required  
• Experience in a startup is a must, with a preference for having experience in early-stage ventures  
• Experience in SaaS / PaaS industry is a must, experience in Web3 is highly preferred  

• Experience in fundraising  
• Due to the timezones of the current team, a candidate with a Europe timezone is highly preferred
