Web3 Vice President, Partnership Marketing (Media)

Compensation: $105k - $110k *

Location: NY New York US

Overview
Vice President, Partnership Marketing - Media will lead the strategy and management of various partner relationships across the MLS enterprise, marshalling necessary resources to address obligations, customer satisfaction, activation, upsell/cross-sell, and renewals for partners who are in the media and emerging technology space. The VP will also oversee the Partner Media Management team, a group responsible for the commercialization strategy and execution of media sponsorship and advertising efforts against MLS & SUM properties. Candidate must have experience flourishing in rapidly evolving industries and environments and possess outstanding problem solving, analytical, and relationship building skills.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key clients and be responsible for ensuring the satisfaction and success of the MLS/SUM partnership
  • Be the PM Business lead on all emerging technology accounts (blockchain, gaming, sports betting, NFT’s etc.) and provide oversight for the management and execution of all components of the partner agreements
  • Continually look for opportunities to deliver business impact and innovation by understanding client needs and presenting solutions and programs that lead to stronger consumer engagement and better results
  • Develop integrated marketing opportunities with our media partners (Apple, Fox Sports, Bleacher Report, The Players’ Tribune), initiatives that help bolster MLS/SUM sponsorship offerings
  • Lead a team of account managers who are responsible for executing traditional sports sponsorship assets and media sponsorship assets
  • Manage and achieve key business metrics, including revenue, upsells, retention, and overall account health
  • Lead special projects as needed

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
  • Commercial Media proficiency
  • 15+ years of experience in ad sales marketing, strategic brand management, and/or partnership marketing

  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desired Skills
  • Experience in the sports marketing and/or product industry
  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer

Total rewards
Starting Base Salary: $200,000 – $250,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
