The Role

We are expanding and this is a newly created position in our finance team based in Hong Kong. As the Financial Analyst, you'll be reporting to the Finance Manager to create budget & forecast, develop best practices in accounting and provide operational support, ensuring smooth running of all lines of business. This role suits someone who is independent, proactive, and possess meticulous attention-to-detail. If you have the passion for the crypto industry this would be a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and cost center owners to develop budget
• Perform day-to-day activities of the finance function including AP, settlement, cost allocation and accrual.
• Build methodology and processes to ensure proper classification of spending into cost centers and business units
• Monitor spending on an ongoing basis to ensure projects are delivered on target
• Forecast and track financial results throughout the year to meet budget projections
• Assist in month-end closing; perform actual vs budget variance analysis and help budget owners understand and manage variances
• Perform manual accounting adjustments in Company’s finance system
• Support in ad hoc requests and new initiatives, e.g. annual compliance filing, bank applications, system enhancement and financial audit
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of sound financial control

Requirements

• University Degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• 3-5 years of experience with Big 4 public accounting background is a plus
• Certified Public Accountant
• Commercial experience with exposure to Fintech particularly crypto industry would be advantageous
• Experience with Workday is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
