Job Title: Technical Data Analyst
Department: Operations
Location: Remote
Reports To: Director of Technical Operations
SUMMARY
Marathon Digital is looking for an individual to join the Mining Information Services team to lead complex analyses that will drive business decisions. We are looking for an individual to help manage and analyze data across our large fleet of mining operations across the globe by synthesizing large datasets into actionable insights that will drive business decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an excellent critical thinker, and able to adapt to change in a fast-moving industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Build, develop, and maintain operational data and telemetry surrounding site performance and operations.
- Create and maintain detailed methods for tracking and reporting asset inventory, logistics, and finance controls related to mining operations.
- Perform predictive modeling and drive strategic business decisions.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to align technical operations with business objectives and clearly communicate operational details across the company.
- Partner closely with Growth and Strategy teams to understand core business analytics and identify opportunities to optimize operations.
- Interpret insights from existing dashboards and reports, augment with analysis from separate data sources and research.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the industry.
- Own the data and take steps to ensure data is as complete and accurate as possible.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Strong technical aptitude in data modeling, statistics, and data science principles
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as R, Python, Power BI, Tableau
- Proficient in MS Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Pointe)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical ability to turn data into actional insights
- BTC/Crypto mining experience (preferred)
- Computer science background (preferred)
- BI tools such as Domo, Tableau (plus)
- Electrician or electrical engineer background (plus)
- Travel up to 50%
