About the Protocol Labs Network

The Protocol Labs Network (PLN) is a community of open source teams, projects, and organizations focused on researching, developing, and deploying network protocols to improve humanity’s most influential technology, the Internet. The groups are supported by Protocol Labs (PL) through grants and investments – think of it as a VC + crypto fund model – and are built on top of PL’s layer 0 and layer 1 protocols, such as IPFS, IPLD, Filecoin, libp2p, etc. As this ecosystem grows, these projects invest in the network itself, and the network grows along with it, which in turn benefits and incentivizes this ongoing evolution of Web2 to Web3. PLN is made up of 450+ projects, companies, and organizations.

Business Development responsibilities may include…

• Development of partnerships and new business opportunities by researching and reaching out to potential partners, negotiating terms, and managing relationships.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with current clients through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
• Conduct thorough research to identify promising leads and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
• Own elements of the partnership life cycle: scoping of opportunities, identifying potential partners, framing of value, negotiating agreements, and implementation and optimization

• Familiarity with Web2 and Web3 ecosystems and how the industries are evolving.

• Deep flexibility and creativity with the ability to adapt to fast-changing needs and priorities.

Bonus points if you have...

• Previous startup experience
• Prior growth, business strategy or development experience in the Web3 ecosystem
• A technical background or strong familiarity (or fascination with) with Web3 technologies.
