<h2><strong>About the team + role</strong></h2>
The Robinhood Crypto Compliance team is responsible for the management and oversight of Robinhood’s crypto compliance, globally. As Robinhood continues to expand, we are hiring our first Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) in Lithuania. The CCO must be resident in Lithuania and will be responsible for the oversight and management of Robinhood’s compliance with all applicable Lithuanian laws and regulations, including MiFID and once promulgated, Lithuania’s adoption of the EU’s Markets in Crypto Asset Regulations. The CCO will help to build out the firm’s risk governance program. The CCO will act as the firm’s Data Protection Officer. The CCO will report to the Robinhood Crypto CCO.
The Robinhood Crypto Compliance team is a geographically distributed team of crypto compliance professionals who enjoy cross-functional collaboration to solve complex issues. We are building a world-class compliance program for our rapidly growing business.
The CCO will collaborate with a broad array of cross-functional shared services teams that support, manage, and grow the Robinhood Crypto business and its current and new cryptocurrency product and service offerings.
What you’ll do day-to-day:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program, including developing policies and procedures, to address applicable laws and regulations
- Engage with regulators on behalf of the firm and support accurate and timely submission of required regulatory reports
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations
- Support regular compliance reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of the firm's compliance program and identify areas for improvement
- Provide guidance and training to employees to support best practices for maintaining regulatory compliance
- Analyze relevant regulatory developments to identify new or enhanced regulatory obligations
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on relevant compliance topics, including identifying key compliance risks and metrics
- Advise on consumer protection, MiFID, complaint handling, business continuity, AML/CTF, market abuse, fraud, conflicts of interest, GDPR, governance and risk & control frameworks
About you:
- 10+ years working in a compliance or legal role for an investment services entity
- Interest or experience with cryptocurrency or blockchain technology
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent English and Lithuanian written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple functional groups and time zones
- Experience working with regulators
- Ability to effectively lead multiple priorities and adapt to a changing environment
- Experience in developing, building and enhancing compliance programs to meet evolving regulatory requirements
- Experience working in an international, decentralized environment
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop governance structures in a fast growing financial organization
- Experience developing efficient processes and drafting practical policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to scale compliance operations and processes in a fast-paced organization

The gross monthly pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job related factors such as education, qualifications, experience, business needs, or market demands. Applicants must be based in Lithuania. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
