SuperLayer is a crypto venture studio led by Kevin Chou and Mahesh Vellanki, who between them have launched multiple successful gaming and crypto companies. SuperLayer builds tokenized consumer businesses, supercharging their development with crypto technology and expertise that can take a typical 2-3 year build and instead launch new businesses in 6-9 months. We develop concepts internally, recruit world-class founders to lead the product, fund the early development until public launch and then help raise venture capital from leading investors in the space.

We are seeking a Founder to collaborate with SuperLayer and leverage our resources and expertise to build a tokenized consumer fintech product from the ground up, which will eventually spin out as a standalone company and launch in either South or South East Asia. The ideal candidate deeply understands the consumer fintech space, has strong product and operational go-to-market experience, is well-versed in the target geographical market, and has the founder hustle to take initiative on leading this project to success.

REQUIREMENTS

In this role you will…

• Serve as Head of Product but also General Manager of a fledgling company building from zero to one and leveraging SuperLayer’s team and technology platform
• Work closely with the SuperLayer leadership team to align on a vision and drive overall product strategy
• Convert this product strategy into a prioritized product and business roadmap, partnering with Engineering, Design and Business Teams to drive execution through MVP launch and beyond
• Communicate progress and other items of importance to SuperLayer leadership and key stakeholders
• Solve organizational needs by either recruiting world class talent or partnering with in-house SuperLayer resources
• Partner with other Founders to share expertise and advise on approaches that can facilitate the rapid development and scaling of all projects

To be a good fit for us, you have...

• 5+ years of experience leading and managing the Product function, with experience working for high growth consumer fintech/payments companies in South or South East Asia
• Strong portfolio of shipped products that show a data-driven and analytical approach to strategy and decision making
• Experience working closely with go-to-market teams and ensuring the success of product launches with end users
• Compelling communication and storytelling expertise along with strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• The ability to weave complex technologies and business models into compelling and even magical experiences for end users
• Previous founder experience and/or interest in blockchain/crypto is a HUGE plus
