About Hack VC

Hack VC is a fast-growing web3 venture capital firm. We focus on early-stage investments in crypto infrastructure and networks. Role

We are looking for a Partner to join Hack VC's investment team. In this role, you would:

• Source and drive investment opportunities across crypto infrastructure, fintech and stablecoins, crypto x AI, and more.
• Own the full investment process for deals from initial sourcing through closing, including technical and commercial diligence.
• Lead technical diligence on most deals, conducting architecture reviews, code reviews, and competitive analysis.
• Prepare comprehensive investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, co-investors, and ecosystem participants.
• Support portfolio companies post-investment with strategic guidance, hiring, partnerships, and follow-on fundraising.
• Develop sector expertise in assigned focus areas while maintaining versatility across the crypto landscape.
• Contribute to firm strategy and help identify emerging investment theses.

Requirements

Required Experience

• 2-4 years of professional experience in analytical business / finance roles: investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, hedge funds.
• + 1-2 years of professional experience in crypto venture capital, crypto startups, or technology investing.
• Strong technical background with ability to evaluate blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, and crypto applications.
• Track record of successful investments or demonstrated judgment in evaluating and sourcing early-stage opportunities.
• Experience with financial modeling and conducting comprehensive due diligence across technical, market, and team dimensions.
• Self-directed and comfortable operating with high autonomy.

Preferred Experience

• Engineering or product experience at a crypto startup, ideally in infrastructure, DeFi, or fintech
• Deep expertise in one or more relevant domains: payments infrastructure, stablecoin mechanics, cross-border financial rails, or regulated fintech
• Technical degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Strong network across crypto founders, operators, and investors
• Track record of thought leadership through writing, speaking, or community building

• Deep technical expertise in crypto infrastructure - the type of person who can read a consensus mechanism whitepaper, spot the trade-offs, and explain it to founders and partners alike. Often has engineering, research, or protocol design experience.
• Exceptional network depth within the crypto builder community. The person who founders call first, who's known at every major conference, and who can make warm intros that actually matter. Strong relationship capital combined with good judgment.
• Brings structured thinking and analytical rigor to ambiguous problems. Excels at building frameworks, running tight processes, and doing the deep financial and market analysis that derisk investments. The person who ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

About the Role

Expected salary range: $200,000 to $250,000 plus potential for carried interest
