DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Manager is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. The Business Development (BD) Manager will be a key member of the Business Development team and will be supporting the Bitcoin Mining team throughout the entire client engagement.

The BD Manager will work closely with the Directors of Business Development, supporting them in their efforts to not only maintain current Foundry clients, but to also seek opportunities to increase the value of those relationships through Foundry’s additional services. The BD Manager must possess strong analytical skills to assist the BD team in organizing and identifying potential opportunities within the current client base. In addition to analytical skills, the BD Manager must be willing to work directly with clients to help provide customer service when needed.

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

This position is based at Foundry HQ in Rochester, NY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Foundry clients and partners, focusing on understanding their business needs and preferences.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling.
  • Lead the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, promptly addressing inquiring, providing expertise and ensuring satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for Foundry clients.
  • Analyze market data and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent Foundry at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Help maintain and organize Foundry’s CRM database

ABOUT YOU:

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-4 years experience in BD, sales, or other similar client facing roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience using CRM software
  • Exceptional energy, interest, and experience in building things from the ground up and delivering real results
  • Deep knowledge of our industry not required, but a strong interest in as well as a willingness to learn about Bitcoin is key
  • Experience working in a startup - high sense of urgency, ambiguous environment - is a plus

  • Technical sales background preferred

  • Exhibits grace and patience, thriving in the face of volatility and challenges inherent to the industry

A range of compensation is provided for transparency, however different factors may affect this range. Some of these factors may include (but are not limited to) education, training, credentials, skills, geographic location, and experience. This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
Range of Compensation: $90,000-$120,000/year
