What you will be doing
- Design and develop new features and capabilities in our platform, maximizing performance, scalability, and security
- Build reusable APIs and libraries for use by developers in our community
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders on all parts of the stack
- Provide technical input on planning, design, and requirements-gathering for features to be implemented
- Participate in team code reviews with fellow engineers, with a keen eye towards information security concerns
- Understand the trends within the company and in the blockchain / DeFi industries at large. Offer ideas and collaborative solutions to others at Agoric and in the ecosystem.
- Participate in open source development on shared resources with external development teams
- Communicate progress to the developer community through Discord, Telegram, and developer forums in coordination with a technical product manager
- Identify improvement areas within the system and work to implement the same
What we look for in you
- BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- 6+ years of experience with large scale distributed systems
- Familiarity with blockchain, cryptography
- Demonstrated interest in blockchain technology and smart contracts
- Deep experience in software development
- Experience working with systems design and open-source projects
- Proficiency in JavaScript,
- Comfortable collaborating with peers in engineering, and other cross-functional teams in marketing and product management .
Nice to haves
- Have previous experience at a fast-paced, high growth stage internet/software company
- Design within Cryptocurrency
