Currently, we are conducting a search for a Data Engineer, for an important crypto market entity, who will be responsible for broadening the range and enhancing the dependability of data conversions.

The goal of this role is to ensure a high level of data integrity throughout the entirety of the data, catering to all customer analytical workflows.

The mission revolves around completing data architecture, formulating approaches to guarantee data quality, enhancing data transformation efficiency, and establishing uniform data modeling practices, while collaborating extensively with the data science, data engineering, and analytics teams to spot opportunities for enhancement and create inventive resolutions for intricate data challenges within the field of cryptocurrencies.

What Will You do:

• Act as a collaborative partner and influencer in shaping data strategy.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance data integrity and develop robust systems aligned with enterprise-level data standards, ensuring top-notch data quality.
• Supervise data management, analytics, governance, and origin tracking, with a keen focus on ensuring data consistency and usability.
• Develop uniform data models that streamline the complexities of blockchain data, while maintaining the agility required for a rapidly growing startup.
• Establish mechanisms for overseeing and maintaining data integrity.
• Lead an exceptional data team by example. Engage in hands-on collaboration with the team on data projects while effectively guiding and nurturing individual growth.
• Strategically expand the team by selectively attracting top-tier talent.

What We Are Looking for:

• 10 years of professional experience in engineering background. This includes a minimum of 5 years dedicated to roles in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Analytics Engineering.
• Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, exhibiting a team-oriented mindset.
• Exhibits the capacity to effectively oversee and guide a team of exceptional caliber. Displays a talent for strategic thinking and tactical execution in collaboration with the team.
• Shows a strong commitment to data integrity, maintaining elevated benchmarks for dependable and insightful analytics through meticulous data transformation, modeling, and lineage practices.
• Brings hands-on experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks, among others.
• Proficient in utilizing data transformation tools like DBT and proficient in utilizing task orchestrators such as Dagster or Airflow.
• Possesses extensive expertise in SQL and relational databases.
• Curiosity about cryptocurrencies and a foundational grasp of blockchains and/or decentralized finance (DeFi) is a big plus.
