WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will develop innovative products and experiences that shape how McKinsey serves clients across industries and geographies around the world.
In this role, you will work with product managers, engineers, and SMEs to define high-quality products and create user flows, prototypes, detailed design, and documentation to solve design challenges. You will have exposure to a broad product and service portfolio across the maturity curve with a heavier focus on interaction design, concept sprints, participating in UX research, and discovery work managed in partnership with our consulting teams. You will leverage design thinking and incubation methods to create artifacts â personas, user flows, interfaces, prototypes, and documentation â that visually communicate abstract concepts and foster alignment across stakeholders, validating your designs through ongoing user testing. You will be an active owner in shaping our growing teamâs design and team culture and an active member of our design guild community that is tasked with radiating our knowledge about design globally.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor`s Degree
- 4+ years relevant industry experience designing applications, experiences, products or services that balance user needs, business objectives and technological constraints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- BS or MS in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, HCI, or equivalent
- Experience with Agile software development processes and methodologies
- A portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product design, interaction and visual design skills, including design systems and data visualizations
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision,Experience working in a highly technical environment, and a passion for enterprise-scale SaaS or B2B web applications preferred
- Experience planning and conducting quantitative and qualitative user research at all stages of product development
- Experience to plan, coordinate and run user usability testing based on target goals and groups
- Experience in running design-led workshops to drive product definition, value proposition, prototyping and alignment
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Willingness to travel (typically <20% of time)
