Web3 Senior Product Marketing Manager

The Role

Messari is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to take Messari’s portfolio of products to market, delivering value to our potential and existing customers and drive growth. You will steer how we communicate with our customers and prospects and create the messaging, positioning, go-to-market strategies, and customer focus to make us a trusted authority of crypto market intelligence tooling and research.

The ideal candidate is smart, ambitious, self-starter and leader who can balance strategic thinking, creative ideation, customer empathy, with team-building and coaching. You have a strong understanding of a SaaS B2B buyer’s journey, and are creative in your positioning in marketing strategies. You will report to the VP of Marketing.

Messari is data ingestion and market research software and information company. The marketing team helps create, distribute and translate all product and content marketing to the world.

What we expect from you/what you will do:

  • Build product marketing processes from the ground up: Work closely with the VP of marketing to identify processes and best practices needed to optimize Messari’s product marketing function
  • Develop messaging and positioning informed by market and customer research, sales and support feedback, and product understanding, determine how to position and message products and features in a compelling, emotionally resonant way
  • Lead go-to-market planning cross-functionally by proactively getting involved early in product development and develop creative ideas, pricing and packaging, and the GTM strategies to take products and features to market, acquire customers, and drive and grow adoption, engagement, and loyalty over time
  • Interface confidently between marketing, product, sales, BD and sales enablement, engineering, user research, support, legal & compliance and build strong relationships with each
  • Lead development of sales enablement best practices and programs (training etc) for all new and existing product offerings
  • Develop creative, omni-channel marketing campaigns in partnership with our Brand and Digital Marketing teams that generate awareness, revenue, and adoption, and rigorously measure the results to relentlessly optimize them. Lead the cross-functional team to execute.
  • Research competitors and enable sales: Conduct ongoing research and lead competitive intelligence programs to provide a detailed understanding of key competitors’ strategies, offerings, GTM activities, and performance in order to inform product development and equip Sales to effectively sell against competitors.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of product marketing experience
  • Experienced in product marketing for B2B SaaS companies in fintech/finance, market intelligence/financial data, or crypto/Web3 technology
  • Excellent written communicator and storyteller with the ability to understand the audience and distill key messages in order to effectively inform and persuade
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Big-picture thinker with strong business discernment and high degree of creativity in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills to track, analyze, and incorporate data driven insights to report on and optimize campaigns
  • Ability to lead and collaborate on cross-functional projects and multitask with excellent organizational skills
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm and ambition
  • Data-driven with the ability to identify and showcase KPIs
  • A Plus: Cryptocurrency knowledge and experience, or adjacent verticals (emerging tech, cybersecurity, finance tech, etc). Not required.

What the marketing and communication department does:

  • Create content programming that helps educate and inform our customers and the ecosystem to make better-informed building and investing decisions
  • Communicate with our customers regarding their product marketing feedback and product issues
  • Collaborate with external partners, industry influencers, members of the press, and more to build and maintain our brand equity
  • Collaborate across various internal departments including product, business development, event planning, research, and sales, to ensure consistent delivery of full-funnel, multi-channel marketing needs
  • Experiment with new marketing and communication channels in order to reach our customers and community via paid, earned, and owned avenues
  • Advocate for data-driven marketing activities to ensure we can properly gauge the ROI for each activation we employ
  • Create and deploy GTM campaigns in order to drive traffic to announce and create buzz around our products, services, and thought leadership
  • Working closely with all marketing team members to devise online/offline marketing strategies across all functions
  • Devise campaigns that result in lead generation for our sales and BD teams

Salary Ranges for this position (depending upon experience): $162,000 - $198,000
