The Starknet Foundation is a non-profit organisation established to support the development of Starknet, a state-of-the-art layer 2 blockchain network built on top of Ethereum. Our mission is to unlock Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency, making decentralized applications more accessible and effective. We're looking for a Treasurer with deep experience in the worlds of Finance & Web3 to lead our treasury operations. This individual will own the vital responsibility of managing the token treasury, ensuring the sustainability and success of the Foundation and broader Starknet ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain cash flow forecasting models in collaboration with FP&A, and identify and actively monitor key treasury metrics.
• Work with FP&A to identify and manage day-to-day cash needs for inter-company transactions, accounts payable, payroll, tax, debt, and other financial obligations.
• Drive banking operational efficiencies and implement treasury management systems and processes.
• Oversee the relationships with key external stakeholders like banks, accountants, and asset managers to help drive financing discussions at the corporate level.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Ecosystem Growth, Partnerships and Operations, to develop a deep understanding of day-to-day liquidity requirements and drive an optimal funding strategy.
• Handle overall asset & liability management and treasury reports for review by the Exec team and Board.
• Build foreign exchange operations, identify currency exposures, develop effective hedging strategies and manage foreign exchange impact on overall business and financial results, as needed (fiat and crypto)
Requirements:
• At least 8 years of experience in the FP&A/Treasury fields.
• Direct experience in the digital assets industry managing a token treasury.
• Critical thinker with the ability to both contribute to and execute against complex strategic initiatives that involve numerous internal and external influences and stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of relevant treasury management systems combined with experience building scalable infrastructure and driving improvement and automation within a growing Finance organization.
• Robust analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills.
• Strong interest in blockchain & ZK technologies.
