DESCRIPTION
The role of a Senior Rendering Engineer to take ownership of the development of our rendering pipeline, and ensure the project runs as efficiently as possible. Your work will be focused on rendering features, semi-procedural content, asset management tools, streaming systems and much more. Teamwork and collaboration is critical within this role as you will need to work closely with the Art and Tech Art team in order to provide the specific look to the game.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement shaders for the art team and game designers based on their visual requirements
- Improve performance and define the best practices for the art team
- Planning and prioritising work on current and future systemsÂ
- Proactively find and address all types of performance issuesÂ
- Investigate and address warning messages when running codeÂ
- Perform code reviews in different areas suggesting improvements, spotting bugs, and providing constructive feedbackÂ
- Work with all stakeholders to analyse and understand requirements, prioritise backlogs, and plan future workÂ
- Support other team members or programmers from other disciplines where appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in C++Â
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with other development disciplines
- Experience programming shaders using node-based systems and shader languages like HLSLÂ
- Proven track record of understanding of modern rendering pipelines
- Experience working with Unreal Engine 4
- Good understanding of how to design, implement, and work in a feature-rich game engine
- A passion for making everything look incredible and making sure everything runs smoothly
- Team playerÂ
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills
- Excellent communication skills and fluent or business level English - written and spoken
