What you’ll be responsible for:
Circle is looking for an experienced software engineer to join our new AI Platform team. As one of the founding members of this new team, you will help drive efficiency with our internal tools and external products by adopting Generative AI across the company.
What you'll work on:
- Design and develop end-to-end generative AI and large-language model applications and services for internal and external products.
- Design and build services and integrations for AI pipelines for LLM fine-tuning, prompt tuning and engineering, benchmarking, and RAG for various generative AI use-cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of efficiency and automations by the use of AI technologies.
- Be a subject matter expert on AI by keeping up to date with the fast-moving AI landscape.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the AI team, helping to define the vision, goals, and roadmap for AI development and integration.

What you’ll bring to Circle:
Senior Software Engineer (III)
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience with Python, Java, Javascript/Typescript, and other similar languages.
- Expertise with generative AI, large language models (ChatGPT, llama2, etc) general machine learning foundations, or other closely related AI specializations..
- Cloud services expertise (AWS preferred)
- Experience with GenAI tools like LangChain, Ollama
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, pgvector, etc.
- RESTful API design and development principles
- Self-starter, and willingness to research and iterate on new AI tooling and infrastructure
