Job description
Worthland Consulting Inc. is Canada's premier quality HR Agency, ensuring the best people are placed with the right jobs. We specialize in the technology sector, especially in the crypto, blockchain and web 3 areas. Worthland is hiring a PR Lead position for one of our clients, a layer 1 protocol in the blockchain space.
Please find detailed requirements below:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy and PR roadmap that aligns with the objectives for My Client across tech and product innovations, project launches, B2B partnerships, etc
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including executives, product teams, biz dev team, marketing and other cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is consistent across all channels.
- Set the tonality for My Client’s brand, including both how we pitch to partners as well as communicate to our community broadly
- Develop and manage strong media relationships with key reporters and influencers within but not limited to crypto/tech/finance/innovation area
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and crypto/tech trends to identify news jack opportunities for thought leadership and strategic communications.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in PR and communications in the technology or financial services industry; a mix of in-house and agency experience preferred
- Deep understanding of crypto, blockchain, and NFTs; you are up to date on the latest news and industry movements across web3
- Experience working with media outlets and reporters in the crypto community
- Strong, succinct communication skills to explain various campaigns to media and publicly present company perspectives as needed
- Experience working cross-functionally with different internal teams as well as senior leaders to ensure communication objectives are met
- A self-starter attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure My Client gets the greatest share of voice in the crypto
- Event management is a plus
The salary is $80,000 to $120,000 USD annually based on experience and previous pay.
