Goals and Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and infrastructure, external and internal systems
• Design security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture
• Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
• Install and maintain software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions
• Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures
• Plan, develop, implement and update the company’s information security strategy
• Handle all security incidents, develop and implement security remediation plans
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
• Educate and train staff on information system security best practices

Job Requirements:

• Ability to prioritize projects working in close collaboration with all stakeholders being a part of developers and operations extended team
• Production experience on containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc), infrastructure automation tools (Helm, Terraform, Ansible, etc), monitoring solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, etc), and public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
• Solid security fundamental knowledge, including authentication/authorization implementations, certificates/secrets management, microservice architecture implementations, cloud security, access control, networking security, Linux security, web-related threats, and mitigations, etc.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being a provider for others
• Outstanding communication skills that go beyond “tech talk” – the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM desired
• Experience working with Red and Blue teams
• Experience with security testing and preventive tools (SAST, DAST, IAST, WAF, CSPM, etc.)
• An understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level
• At least 2 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry or SRE/DevOps with a strong focus on security
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise Critical thinking skills, the ability to proactively improve internal tools and processes through the Infrastructure as Code approach
• Proficient in Linux and the shell
• Basic coding skills, such as Go, Python, and other language
