Role Overview

Lead the client connectivity team for brokerage customers to connect to our electronic trading platform providing DMA->

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second level support for client connectivity
  • Work with platform developers to build, enhance, and maintain connectivity components for clients including FIX, REST and WebSockets.
  • Work with EMS/OMS vendors, and drive the integration with our trading stack
  • Support, manage, and test FIX connectivity onboarding for brokerage clients.
  • Work with DevOps and ETT platform architects to design fault tolerant, multi-site architectures to ensure we meet our 99.9% uptime requirement.
  • Liaise with the group-wide API standard to ensure we provide a consistent experience for clients connecting to services across 100x.
  • In conjunction with the Operations team lead, ensure we are offering the best possible client experience. Follow up on all client connectivity issues to ensure an environment of continuous improvement of technology, monitoring and process in relation to client flow.
  • Build and manage a multi location team in support of client flow.

Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience in the finance technology industry on either the buy or sell side.
  • Front office application support experience
  • Strong knowledge of the FIX specification.
  • Experience supporting and managing FIX client onboarding.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment and scripting languages
  • Comfortable with liaising with clients across multiple regions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a confident communicator.
  • Ability to work independently and comfortably to tight schedules.
  • Management experience and able to effectively manage remote teams.

Bonus

  • Experience developing REST and Websocket APIs.
  • Exposure to cloud based technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes etc.
  • Understanding of logging, metrics and tracing concepts using tools such as Splunk, ELK stack, Lightstep and TICK stack.
