DESCRIPTION: The Compliance Intern position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Intern will be responsible for providing substantive and administrative support to the Compliance department.

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Compliance Intern will be exposed to a variety of areas, and will assist the Legal and Compliance Departments on a variety of matters, including but not limited to:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Stay current with legislative and regulatory environment relating to blockchain and cryptocurrency.
  • Review and contribute to compliance policies and training materials.
  • Support the Director of Compliance with ongoing compliance projects and any ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist in conducting compliance audits and assessments
  • Research and analyze regulatory requirements applicable to Foundry

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Current college student;
  • Strong passion for blockchain technology and digital assets;
  • Demonstrated eagerness and enthusiasm to acquire new knowledge, skills, and experiences. The candidate should be open to learning from various sources, including mentors, team members, and independent research;
  • A proactive and practical mindset with a willingness to roll up sleeves and engage in tasks across various areas. The candidate should be comfortable getting involved in practical work, whether it involves technical tasks, research, or project implementation;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment; and
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Any compliance-related certifications
  • Great sense of humor.
