About the job: Horizon Blockchain Games is looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager (PMM) with game product management experience to lead our strategies for Skyweaver, and evangelize the game’s value proposition and grow a loyal player base. Professional marketing experience in the gaming industry is a must-have for this role. 

This individual will join the Marketing team and share responsibilities in achieving Horizon business goals in existing and new markets. You will develop marketing plans and be a key stakeholder in go-to-market plans for Skyweaver. This is a leadership role in which you will have a team working alongside you to achieve Skyweaver growth objectives: a social media and paid ads specialist, an experienced Community Management team, a CRM/email specialist, and teammates to aid asset creation such as video capture, screenshots, and other promotional game content.

As PMM, you will help manage the overall marketing strategy for Skyweaver and help drive all aspects of execution including market research, creation of messaging, spearhead production of brand assets such as videos, trailers, walkthroughs, screenshots, web deliverables, email campaigns, advertising and more.

The Horizon team is made of committed and talented individuals with a passion for Ethereum, Web3, and gaming. You will report to the Director of Marketing and Chief Storyteller to plan and define our launch roadmap and the communications plan associated with it. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple teams working on Skyweaver to lead coordinated go-to-market planning and execution. This includes close collaboration with the data and operations team, development team, PR, web, social/community, legal, finance, and others.

This is a leadership role that requires you to be proactive and motivated with a strong drive to succeed and achieve KPIs. We are seeking someone ready to roll up their sleeves to help craft product messaging, lead the production of compelling brand assets like trailers, walkthroughs, and key art, and take us to the next level with creativity, content, and strategy, all with a stellar player-first focus.

Public relations and brand management experience is a big plus as you will be managing, briefing and crafting key messages about the game and working with creative and PR agencies for key beats like game reviews, interviews, exclusive stories, brand videos, behind the scenes, etc..

Responsibilities: -You will help define product roadmaps alongside the Product/ Development Team, create the assets to communicate features and milestones, and help with messaging about game features to the public.  -Collaborate with the Product and Design team on prioritization of features that will help the growth of Skyweaver such as: referral and invite-a-friend programs, loyalty programs, community features that will help with virality, brand awareness and acquisition. -Taking a player-centric approach, you will be expected to lead on conducting research: focus groups, user research, help define personas/user profiles, tailor content and messaging, and define the right product-market fit through brand and product positioning that meets our company’s mission and business objectives. -You will ensure that we deliver the right content in emails, landing pages and other digital content experiences for our customers across the globe. You will also be responsible for creating better products and processes for stakeholders to create and update content, ensuring that we communicate effectively with our customers.

You can expect your responsibilities to be split the following way:

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, MARKETING STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION, 30% -Own and manage go-to-market planning and execution, content creation, demand generation and social media amplification campaigns & initiatives. -Collaborate with Product Management to help shape the product roadmap, then translate the roadmap, features, and functionality to compelling customer-facing messaging & communications. -You will own the product lifecycle for Skyweaver. You will discover use cases, define requirements, evaluate priorities, confirm usability, and apply feedback for continuous improvement of game features and player feature requests. -Ensure that in all communications and content the Skyweaver brand adheres to the utmost quality standards that we’re known for; be the gatekeeper and approver of content that is published on our channels to ensure brand consistency. -Participate in technical design discussions to represent players’ needs.

CONTENT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION, 30% -Lead on the production of brand assets such as videos, graphics, walkthroughs, etc: writing scripts, getting the right captures, briefing video editors, working with our team to get the proper voice over recordings, etc… is all part of the asset production process that you will be expected to lead and manage through from pre-conception to full delivery, and through the publishing process on our channels (working with our social and community team to publish). -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful content that drives brand recognition, product awareness, lead generation. -Collaborate directly with key stakeholders (creative, design, UI, art, programmers, community, etc.) to produce high-quality assets and execute the marketing strategy. -Work alongside the social media and community team to manage content editorial calendars and utilize data to develop impactful content including game guides, walkthroughs, infographics, website content, blog posts, webinars, videos, email newsletters, etc. -You will ensure that we deliver the right content in emails, landing pages and other digital content experiences for our customers across the globe. As needed, you will also manage and brief agencies and creative partners to deliver assets and to fulfill content needs for Skyweaver.

LEADERSHIP, PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION, 20% -Build positive relationships across the team, ensuring transparency, goals, and KPIs are met -Clearly communicate marketing plans, needs and requirements to cross-functional teams and business stakeholders such as finance, legal, data engineering, analytics, operations, etc.. in order to ensure that our company goals and Marketing KPIs are met -Collaborate with members of the marketing and development teams to ensure alignment on communication and engagement strategy -Be an organized project manager: align with teams on timelines and deadlines for the development of new features with product management and engineering team -Be the brand and product expert on our team

LIFECYCLE MARKETING, PARTNERSHIPS, 10% -Have an expert understanding and knowledge of user and player journeys, user funnels, user profiles/personas, and the lead generation and monetization funnel. -Drive initiatives for product adoption, client growth, lifecycle management and support the achievement of revenue targets -Develop value-add partnerships and collaborations for Skyweaver to grow the game’s audience and player base. -Help to lead on influencer collaborations, building partnerships and fostering fruitful relationships with members of the gaming and blockchain community to increase Skyweaver adoption.

USER RESEARCH & COMPETITIVE ANALYSES, 10% -Competitive analyses and research for product features and positioning: research and analysis of product features of each competitor and compare it against ours and see where we can improve and differentiate.  -Generate quantitative and qualitative data to support product hypotheses; -Obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas, through research, interviews, surveys, focus groups Plan and perform user and buyer research to uncover insights and translate those into messaging and positioning -Own the development and ongoing monitoring of competitive intelligence and market landscape, so we know how to best position Skyweaver within our industry 

Minimum qualifications: -5+ years of overall experience in a product marketing role  -3+ years in gaming industry product marketing or product management role  -Strong experience in brand asset management and production: a strong understanding of gamers and their needs, wants and preferences and translating that into compelling content strategies and assets that support a marketing plan -Experience managing and developing new product marketing programs with clear data-driven results -Demonstrated success in positioning and launching differentiated products that meet and exceed business objectives -Ability to focus and prioritize ruthlessly in a very fast-paced and ambiguous environment, in order to drive the highest impact -Experience developing product strategy, planning and executing against strategic plans -Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills to support marketing programs -Proactive approach and a desire to roll up your sleeves to execute and achieve targets within a dynamic growing startupProven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. -The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development, operations and Product Management is especially important -Excellent English communication skills: verbal, written communication, and presentation skills -Excellent people skills with an ego-less approach to collaboration -Have a strong understanding of data, metrics and analytics -Experience in a number of user and buyer-research methodologies to drive our understanding of our industry, audiences and personas

Preferred qualifications: -Passionate and knowledgeable about Web3, a plus -Experience with CRM and Customer Data Platforms (CDP) like Mailchimp, Blueshift, Braze, etc -Experience with Content Management Systems and web publication toolsets -Experience with graphic design, video screen capture, a plus. -Experience using video editing, video production, live streaming tools, a plus
