Requirements

• Responsible for the effective implementation of overall risk strategy for the business
• Establish and implement an risk and governance framework to ensure a robust, controlled environment and create an KRI Matrix alongside different stakeholders Conduct regular audits and self-risk assessments for the business
• Identifying and implementing appropriate controls and risk mitigants across the business
• Act as second line of defence to monitor, identify, measure and report all risk related matters
• Advise and guide the business on overall risk management with pertinent focus on operational risk
• Provide incident management oversight and support the business owners in responding to investigations, resolve incident reports and escalations
• Ensure that business models and supporting systems continually mitigate risk to maintain the protection and integrity of data and resources
• Promote a risk-aware culture across the company by organizing educational and training workshops   

Responsibilities

• At least a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Banking/Insurance/Financial Services or a similar capacity 
• Recognised Person in the DFSA, FRSA, CBB or other regulated jurisdiction
• Must be based in the United Arab Emirates
• Must have experience working for an exchange, broker dealer or bank
• Strong practical knowledge of risk frameworks and operational risk reporting experience, FRM is a plusInterest in Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and trading or finance/banking/payments industry
• Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and discover answers quickly and effectively
• Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple mandates
