The Role
Data drives everything we do at Alchemy. As such, having the ability to run tight, controlled experiments allows us to make better decisions across the whole company. As a backend engineer focused on experimentation, you'll be working to develop low-overhead experimentation infrastructure and pipelines that can be employed by any developer. You'll own, architect, and build new systems that can accurately and effectively collect and deploy data.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and own highly scalable and reliable experiments infrastructure
- Work with data engineering and product to collect and deploy data to power the company
- Contribute and lead system design discussions, stand up meetings, and code reviews
- Develop and own best practices for backend infrastructure with a focus on high throughput, high reliability, and low latency
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining A/B test infrastructure
- Experience with AWS technologies is a plus
- Experience with data pipeline and warehouse technologies a plus
- Experience with production distributed systems, web applications, and microservice architecture
- Proven track record building highly available and highly scalable systems
- Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy
- Know how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quickly
- Passion for blockchain technologies a plus
