The Associate Director of Regulatory Policy (Global) will work effectively with the Director of Regulatory Policy (Global) to strategically support the company’s business objectives with a particular focus on global financial services regulatory policy matters. This will include coordinating and developing the company’s global financial services regulatory policy work and thought leadership so that Binance continues to evolve as the world’s foremost leader in blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure provision.

Responsibilities

    • Deputise for, and support, the Global Director of Regulatory Policy, as required.
    • Oversee and coordinate global regulatory policy matters relating to e.g. Global Standard-Setting Bodies and global financial market participants supported by regions.
    • Work with the Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer, legal counsel, government affairs, communications and other partners across the business in support of key priorities regionally or globally.
    • Develop and deliver an agreed global regulatory policy plan in collaboration with regions that aligns to broader Binance objectives.
    • Maintain fluency on a variety of policy issues relevant to Binance’s business needs on important policy and political matters.

Requirements

    • Financial services policy making experience, preferably from a leading financial services regulator (ideally one that is responsible for regulating financial securities / payments), or similar regional or global financial services organisations. 
    • Experience of crypto, DLT and innovation, preferably through policy making.
    • Team player with the ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to work autonomously and drive your own strategy.
    • Great people and engagement skills recognising the importance of developing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve results at all levels.
    • Experience dealing with relevant regulatory policy challenges across regions/globally.
    • Credible experience engaging and effectively interacting with relevant government, regulatory supra-national and other influential third-party organisations in a regulatory policy role.
    • Policy making and drafting experience on technology policy issues within government, regulators, think tanks or relevant industry associations.
