Role Summary

Boson Protocol are looking for an experienced “crypto native” Financial Director, to join our distributed team and take the helm of all of our finances.

As Crypto Financial Director, you will coordinate all financial activities, sometimes being hands on, but also control, plan and develop our long-term investments and financing, growing our reporting and controlling processes on the way.

You should be an expert in your field, we are planning for the long term and see this position as a “future proofing” role. Where we are today is not where we’ll be tomorrow and you will need to see our vision and be able to be a leader in your field through each phase of our growth.

What you will do:

• Build and grow a high performing finance department for the business
• Build and manage relationships with exchanges
• Manage suppliers, customer’s financial terms and their relationships
• Ensure all crypto operations are managed efficiently and accurately
• Manage all crypto operations and work closely with Treasury
• Help to formulate crypto treasury strategy and advise the Board accordingly
• Oversee token liquidity advise Board and Treasury accordingly
• Exchange and wallet strategy proposal and implementation
• Managing wallets and crypto transitions
• Work collaboratively across the business to ensure alignment operationally and financially
• Work closely with project teams and Technical teams to formulate good budgeting practices and controls
• Asset management and long term financial planning
• Stock management auditing and security
• Ensure all crypto are properly accounted for and crypto accounting follow IFRS or similar accounting standards
• Overall responsibility for budgets and all crypto finance operations
• Prepare management accounts
• Prepare audited accounts
• Setting up bank accounts when required
• Manage finance and legal teams
• A hands on member of the finance team

Essential experience / skills

• Qualified Accountant with at least 5 to 10 years experience
• Experienced and worked in the crypto environment for at least 3 years
• Proven track record - being hands on operational Finance Director
• Familiar with corporate law and a good understanding of risk management practices.
• Good analytical skills and present data in a simple and understandable way to the Board.
• Good knowledge of corporation tax and VAT
• Experienced in commercial and investor contracts
• Strong experience in managing Digital assets
• Experience in sourcing and partnering with crypto friendly banks and managing the relationship
• Excellent understanding and extremely familiar with Crypto Wallets, Exchanges, Crypto transactions
• Ability to provide advice and guidance to CEO and Board Members on day to day operations and beyond
• Navigating and guiding hyper growth phase of a startup
