At R3, we are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move onchain, bridging the worlds of traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). We are launching a Solana-native protocol purpose-built to bring real-world assets into onchain capital markets, starting by integrating with our existing Corda-based asset networks.Ā

The Role:Ā
We're looking for a DeFi-native product leader who is passionate about making real-world assets usable in DeFi. This person should be fluent in both the culture and mechanics of onchain finance. Youāll lead product design and go-to-market efforts for the DeFi-native product offering within our Solana-based protocol, with a focus on packaging permissioned assets for permissionless onchain capital markets. A good candidate will know the existing RWA protocols inside and out, but the successful candidate will understand what needs to come next and has the burning desire to build and ship it.Ā
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the product roadmap for the Solana-native RWA DeFi offering, from ideation through launch and iterationĀ
- Organize around the needs of your users and stakeholders, such as onchain investors, DeFi partners, and RWA issuersĀ Ā
- Own product decisions and outcomes, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day deliveryĀ
- Collaborate with R3 Product and Engineering to make your roadmap a reality. Ensure that the full R3 Labs organization understands and is bought in on your vision and execution plan
- Lead engagement with DeFi projects and protocols to build integrations, partnerships, and liquidity pipelinesĀ
- Translate complex asset structures and compliance requirements into simple, composable onchain primitivesĀ
- Represent R3 externally in the DeFi community, shaping narratives and collecting feedbackĀ
- Monitor regulatory developments and their impact on product design and go-to-marketĀ
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in DeFi, ideally with a track record of designing and launching or deeply integrating a DeFi productĀ
- Deep understanding of DeFi strategies, mechanics, and tokenomicsĀ
- Strong working knowledge of Solana and familiarity with its DeFi ecosystem (or demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly)Ā
- Familiarity with financial products is highly preferred: debt, equity, private credit, collateral managementĀ
- Understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape for tokenized assetsĀ
- Proven ability to form partnerships and drive ecosystem collaborationĀ
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making clear decisions, and owning outcomesĀ
- Active presence in the crypto community (preferably Crypto Twitter native, not a tourist)Ā
- Excellent communicator who can engage technical, business, and regulatory stakeholders alikeĀ
- Honest, flexible, and collaborative mindset. You think like a builder, not a bureaucratĀ
