At Swissblock, we are passionate about using self-developed cutting-edge algorithmic trading strategies for the cryptocurrency market using in-depth market analysis and implementing them in our own automated trading platform to foster our client’s wealth.
The Information Provision team compiles information from various relevant data sources, generates insights and analysis internally or disseminates them to external customers via newsletter (find us on Substack!). As a Python Engineer, you will help us bring our current solution to the next level and build a first-class data dissemination platform.
We are a remote-friendly company and this role can be based anywhere in Europe.
Your role:
- Gather requirements in direct contact with business and technical stakeholders.
- Create and maintain APIs to expose databases to customers.
- Help design, deploy and analyze experiments to evaluate running applications.
- Conduct regular assessments of the complexity and efficiency of the product suite.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Strong sense for quality, reliability and innate curiosity to learn.
- Basic working knowledge of terminology and principles in the trading domain.
- Proficient written and verbal communication in English.
Preferred:
- 2 years of work experience (or coursework) with Python.
- Experience with Pandas, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Airflow, Gitlab, and Data Visualization tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms, GCP preferred.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
- Ability to understand and explain complex mathematical concepts quickly.
- Systematic problem-solving approach with a sense of ownership and drive.
