What we do

RISC Zero is on a mission to fix the internet. We're a diverse group of hackers, futurists, and nerds dedicated to making the internet the place we all deserve. We've already built the world's first zero knowledge virtual machine capable of running arbitrary code as a zero knowledge proof. We're now building an ecosystem on top of it.

What you'll do

RISC Zero is seeking a Business Development Associate to help us secure important partnerships, developer relationships, and to promote the use of our Layer 1 protocol. We are seeking people with a deep knowledge and understanding of blockchain technology.  

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who is obsessive and nerdy with a great sense of humor. We are looking for someone self directed with a history of getting up to speed quickly on complex technical topics. We’re looking for people who are great explainers and even better listeners. We want passionate people who know how to work closely with a team, who are competitive with themselves, and who know how to push for fast growth while also staying organized. 
This role will consist of both managing inbound and pursuing outbound conversations around the utilization of RISC Zero’s layer 1 blockchain protocol as a base layer for developers of a variety of blockchain based applications. Application sectors we are focused on include gaming, financial services, social media, and any consumer or B2B applications that require fast, cheap, trustless computation services. 

You will work closely with Ash Schap, our Chief Strategy Officer who has led growth at Uniswap and MakerDao. You will be joining a fast growing team with upward mobility and room for advancement. RISC Zero is a remote-first working environment which means you are able to work from anywhere. 

Requirements

    • 4+ years experience in sales, business development or growth focused roles
    • 1+ years of blockchain experience 
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Fantastic organization skills 
    • Self-starter 
    • Strong writing skills 

Nice to have

    • Familiarity with cloud services 
    • A technical background (e.g. CS degree, code school)
    • Management experience
