Job Description

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager with a track record leading high-performance teams of 5-10 engineers. The Platform team is responsible for providing infrastructure for the whole company and creating a self-service setup for developers. The Platform team is at the center of a lot of other teams and so there are many opportunities for improving how the entire company works together.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of around 5-10 engineers.
  • Give context to the team of the work the wider company is doing.
  • Align the team’s work to the company vision and priorities.
  • Work to define team priorities and get them included in the unified roadmap.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Tech Leads to help remove roadblocks and bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate team collaboration towards best practices, and solutions that meet company needs ensuring high quality code is produced and maintained using code review.
  • Lead post-mortems and regular retrospectives.
  • Hold regular 1:1s with direct reports, focusing on mentorship, career development, technical goals etc.
  • Project manage all the ongoing work the team is doing
  • Working with the wider company to achieve security certifications.
  • Be the hiring manager to build out a well rounded team.
  • Identify technical debt and help ensure there is time to deal with it.

Requirements:

  • Experience in DevOps
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Demonstrates flexible team-oriented attitude; adapts to changing requirements
  • Comfortable working with Director level senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to ensure the team produces well rounded products with monitoring and documentation.

Bonus Requirements:

  • (BONUS): Familiarity with Blockchain and Crypto technologies / Web3
