Since 2014, the mission-driven team at the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has helped fuel the tremendous growth of the Stellar blockchain network, an open-source platform that operates at high-scale today. Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.

The Director of People Operations plays an integral role in leading the SDF people strategies and talent management efforts. In partnership with our VP of People, you will help lead and oversee our People programs including compensation, benefits, DE&I initiatives, people operations and employee engagement. You will report to the VP of People and lead our People Operations and HR Business partner team members.

In this role you will:

  • Support our total rewards initiatives by continually analyzing and refining our compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent, staying up to date with market trends, external compensation benchmarks, and pay equity.
  • Lead the implementation of our performance management programs, providing guidance on goal setting, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities, identifying opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
  • Encourage a culture of inclusion, respect, and empathy, curating and implementing strategies to improve inclusion and diversity.
  • Lead our HR Team members, keeping them informed of company activity, decisions, and priorities.
  • Evaluate and implement HR technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance HR efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a people leader and manager in a fast-paced startup environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust relationships across the company
  • Proven ability to work with self-direction and flexibility, with a keen eye for prioritizing and problem-solving
  • Results-oriented, setting and achieving challenging goals that increase value to the organization
  • Data lover, utilizing it to influence decisions and solve problems
  • Strong knowledge of labor law/legislation and a full understanding of HR best practices
  • Experience in compensation, HR employee relations, employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Solution oriented and creative problem solver of complex challenges

We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $195,000 - $240,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with the following perks and benefits:
