About the job:

The Head of BD will lead and drive Scroll’s global sales and partnership strategies. This senior role is pivotal in expanding our ecosystem, establishing long-term relationships, and achieving revenue growth. The successful candidate will manage a team of partnership managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with the company’s vision. This role will report into the Head of Growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and partnership strategies to drive revenue growth and ecosystem expansion.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic alliances, and partnerships.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of partnership managers and sales professionals.
    • Create and execute a long-term vision for sales and partnerships to ensure sustainable growth and alignment with Scroll’s strategic objectives.
  • Partnership and Revenue Development:

    • Cultivate and enhance relationships with key partners, including dApps, liquidity providers, and other stakeholders in the Web3 ecosystem.
    • Support the integration and onboarding of new partners, collaborating with the International Markets team.
    • Represent Scroll at industry events and conferences to build and maintain a robust network.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy Execution:

    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
    • Work closely with product, marketing, and development teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and market needs.
    • Develop sales materials, presentations, and other collateral to support business development efforts.

    Performance Management:

    • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales and partnerships team. TVL, volume and projects.
    • Manage and prioritize a diverse portfolio of projects and partnerships, ensuring alignment with Scroll’s vision.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or partnerships role within the blockchain, DeFi, or technology sectors.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a remote team.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret market data, trading performance, and emerging trends.
  • Willingness to travel for community events and business meetings.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in startups or high-growth environments.
  • Deep engagement and awareness of the latest crypto trends
  • Active on platforms like Twitter/X, Linkedin, Medium and Discord.
  • Public speaking experience and the ability to represent Scroll at industry events.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
