At Layer3, our team is aligned around the mission to build the vertical crypto engagement stack. To achieve this, we’re building an omnichain technology stack to allow users to earn and explore, while providing ecosystems the tools to engage users and distribute tokens to them. The Role
We are looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer with strong knowledge of the EVM and DeFi to join our Core Team. Your scope will include design and implementation of the Layer3 protocol and various R&D efforts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading design and implementation of Layer3 protocol
- Shaping the future of the protocol through research, design, prototyping, engineering, and discussion with our partners
- Conduct independent research in your area of ownership
Who You Are
- Has been working for several years on production-grade systems.
- Expert in Solidity and experience in software engineering best practices.
- Have deep knowledge of DeFi protocols.
- Can write efficient staking algorithms.
- Knows how to prevent attacks such as frontrunning, griefing, and oracle manipulation.
- Have deployed smart contracts on a production chain with a significant TVL.
- They had a central role in contributing to the roadmap.
- They had a central role in architecture and contract design.
- Experience supporting a significant scale of users.
- Comfortable writing invariant tests and performing formal verifications.
- Experience leading their code through one or more contract audits.
- Experience mentoring other engineers and performing fair, thorough code reviews.
- Bonus: knowledge of low-level EVM languages such as Yul and Huff.
- Bonus: experience developing well-designed tokenomics.
