As Optimism’s first Partnerships Manager, you’ll work to identify strategic partnership opportunities to drive Optimism adoption across the Ethereum ecosystem, helping win developer mindshare and drive usage.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Source, conduct due diligence, and execute high-value strategic partnerships with start-ups and projects in the Ethereum ecosystem that are considering developing on Optimism
- Work closely with Developer Advocates to ensure any technical issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Provide a strategic perspective to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights and launching initiatives that impact the market
- Define and lead new initiatives within the partnerships team to expand the reach of Optimism
- Communicate product updates to partners
- Work with product and help shape product strategy by collecting external feedback and relaying it to Product Manager counterparts
What skills do you bring?
- Experience in partnerships managing relationships with centralized exchanges, DeFi protocols, or NFT projects
- Strong passion and understanding of blockchain technologies
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to identify, pursue and close complex partnerships
- Experience in driving alignment from key internal stakeholders to support strategic decisions
- Ability to present and speak in public to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Previous work experience with a high-growth technology company
- Wide professional network and strong reputation among the Ethereum develop ecosystem
