SideShift.ai, the direct-to-wallet crypto exchange, is hiring a Frontend Engineer with a passion for UI/UX Design.

Since launching in late 2018, SideShift.ai has been growing rapidly. With seven-figure daily volume and key industry partnerships, we’ve achieved a lot, but there’s still plenty more to do.

As a lean team without dedicated designers or product managers, our engineers are true product owners. We’re looking for someone eager to contribute to all aspects of product development—from ideation and UI/UX design to implementation.

Role

• Build intuitive and user-friendly interfaces using modern tools like React, TypeScript, Next.js, Apollo, GraphQL, Storybook, Jest, and Cypress.
• Own projects from concept to live implementation, taking charge of both the technical and user experience aspects.
• Contribute to UI/UX design, ensuring our platform is not just functional but also visually appealing and delightful to use.
• Conduct user research to gather insights and understand user needs, pain points, and preferences.
• Ship fast and often. Your ideas will quickly make it into live products.
  
  
  

You

• Solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated ability in UI/UX design with a solid eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
• Ability to think from the user’s perspective and advocate for the best possible experience.
• Experience creating design mockups and prototypes using tools like Figma or similar.
• Passion for and knowledge of blockchain technologies.
• Proactive with product ideas and opinions.
• Curiosity and a keen interest in “why?”
• Outstanding written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and self-managing; able to thrive in an asynchronous environment.
• Able to join team meetings in EU/Asia time zones (though we try to avoid meetings as much as possible).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js.
• Experience interacting with smart contracts via the frontend.
• Experience with unit testing, end-to-end testing, or visual testing.
• An appreciation for memes.
