About the role

In this role, you will build mobile experiences for Android that interface with the Solana Blockchain. As part of a small and focused team, you’ll be developing and integrating apps with the Android platform, working with open-source projects, and bringing Solana ecosystem experiences to mobile devices. Your work will target users of the Solana ecosystem; developers and enthusiasts alike.

Responsibilities

• Create new Android apps that interface with the Solana Blockchain
• Collaborate with the design team to create beautiful user experiences
• Participate in the full software engineering lifecycle - gathering requirements, design, documentation, implementation, code review, integration, and testing
• Interact with other engineering teams, both at Solana Labs and with partners
• Willingness to work outside your comfort zone - it’s a rapidly changing environment

Requirements

• At least 2 years experience with Android development using Kotlin and/or Java
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience
• Experience shipping high-quality products, from start to finish
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
• Knowledge of blockchain concepts (digital signatures, tokens, wallets, NFTs, DeFi, etc)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
