Blockstream was founded in 2014 by Dr. Adam Back and a group of fellow cryptographers and engineers who are passionate about Bitcoin and its potential to change the world. Today, we are a market leader in Bitcoin security and Layer-2 technologies, offering a comprehensive portfolio of products that enhance the efficiency, security, and robustness of financial systems.  Core Lightning is Blockstream’s popular implementation of the Lightning specification. Designed for performance and based on a modular architecture, it is ideally suited for enterprise use and customizable deployments such as Greenlight, our hosted Lightning-as-a-Service offering. We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead Blockstream’s efforts to onboard more users onto the Lightning network. The role includes product oversight of Core Lightning, Greenlight, and the integration of Lightning features in other Blockstream products. What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):

Engage with developers, businesses and end users to identify market needs and pain points. Create a product vision to accelerate Lightning adoption. Validate, develop and deploy strategies to grow revenue. Optimize the user experience for all segments and users, including developers, node operators, consumer/business end-users. Work with engineering to build a roadmap that balances features and strategic efforts with platform improvements and advances to the Lightning specification. Coordinate with cross functional stakeholders to align strategy, sales and marketing efforts, and plans with other product teams.

What We Look For In You (Required Qualifications):

7+ years product management experience or equivalent roles. Experience leading products with API surfaces and developer users. Demonstrated ability to incubate new ideas, validate and ship products in ambiguous or developing markets. Analytical mindset and metrics-driven approach. Can use data to inform decisions.  B.S. in Computer Science or other technical fields of study. Strong grasp of the Bitcoin and Lightning protocols. Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with remote team members in different time zones (spanning Europe, Americas and Australia.)

Nice To Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

Prior work experience on Bitcoin-related products. Prior track record of building solutions in the payments space - ecommerce, ordering/invoicing, payment instruments, etc. Working understanding of payments products on legacy rails.

Do blockchain developers work from home?

Yes, many blockchain developers work from home, especially in the current times where remote work has become more common due to the pandemic

The nature of blockchain development allows developers to work from anywhere in the world as long as they have a good internet connection and the necessary tools to do their work

In fact, many blockchain companies have fully remote teams and offer flexible work arrangements

This allows them to hire talented developers from all over the world without being limited by geographical location

However, it's important to note that not all blockchain development jobs are remote

Some companies may prefer to have their developers work on-site for security or other reasons

So, it's important to carefully read the job description and requirements before applying to ensure that you're comfortable with the work arrangements.
