Your Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically competent Protocol Engineering Lead to oversee our Developers Workstream with a focus on translating technical strategies into actionable grants at $250k+ and serving as a product manager to liaise between the Uniswap Foundation, DAO stakeholders and Labs team to ensure seamless execution of key protocol milestones. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Solidity, AMMs, and the DeFi ecosystem, combined with strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional technical teams and contribute to the strategic direction of Uniswap Foundation.

What you’ll do

• Technical Product Management:Guide engineering teams in the development of core protocol innovations and ecosystem expansions.
• Grant Management:Translate the go-to-market strategy and infrastructure needs into well-crafted investment memos and grants to support research, development, and innovation within the Uniswap ecosystem.
• Product Management: Coordinate internally with the Foundation, DAO stakeholders, and Labs protocols team to align on key protocol launch milestones, with an immediate focus on the secure launch of v4.
• Ecosystem Development: Engage in ecosystem BD activities, including outreach, listening, and customer development, to gather requirements from various stakeholders such as developers, aggregators, and complementary technologies.
• Strategy and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest in MEV, new protocol launches, and DeFi innovations to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into Uniswap's offerings. Drive value accretion and initiate projects that benefit stakeholders.

What you bring to the table

Core Competencies:

• Crypto Expertise: Deep familiarity with blockchain technologies, with a preference for prior work in DeFi
• Product Management Skills: Proven experience managing engineering or product teams, with a preference for those who have managed cross-functional teams
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to prioritize features, translate strategies into actionable plans, and communicate these strategies effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various roles including Core Protocol Developers, Ecosystem Leads, Developer Relations Lead, Solution Architects, and Product Leads for Wallets and Routing.

Qualifications:

• • Proven track record in technical leadership within the DeFi or blockchain space.
  • Strong experience in product management and ecosystem development.
  • Exceptional ability to write clear and effective grants and investment memos.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing large, cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and driving developer engagement.
