We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join the Base team to help bring the next billion users onchain. Weâre a scrappy team who believe in solving hard problems that meaningfully impact the world.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and implement highly reliable interfaces to integrate with Base, making it easy for users and developers to build onchain.
- Contribute high quality code to open source repos for the Base team and tools in the ecosystem.
- Work with engineers on your team and in other teams across the company to build onchain products.
- Add positive energy and excitement in every meeting, and make your coworkers feel included in every interaction.
- Use your knowledge of the onchain ecosystem to help the team identify the biggest opportunities that we can tackle.
What we look for in you:
- You have at least 2+ years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React.
- You have experience working on decentralized applications.
- Youâve developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.
- Youâre familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability.
- Youâre familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
- You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
Nice to haves:
- You've worked on front-end teams in the crypto space
- Youâve contributed to open source projects in the ethereum and Optimism ecosystem
- Technologies: React, Next.js, ReactNative, GraphQL, Solidity, Wagmi, Viem.
