About the role:

We are looking for a Trading Business Analyst to join our Quant Trading team. You will be responsible for eliciting, defining and documenting functional requirements. You will communicate across different teams and help devise effective solutions that are in line with the strategic aims. A high-level cross teamwork and engagement with stakeholders such as middle to senior management, Product owners and Finance in the region is expected.

Your responsibilities:

• Work as a Business Analyst (or Product Manager) to effectively analyze requirements and manage projects
• Comfortable talking to traders / Ops to gather and comprehend business requirements, and translate them into functional spec or product requirement documents
• Perform market research and analysis on the cryptocurrency / blockchain industry and evaluate its impacts / opportunities on trading
• Work with different teams for BAU / Operational tasks
• Manage project timeline and mitigate risks
• Provide appropriate summary of project status and report outstanding issues / defects
• Work with Developers / Product Managers / Traders / Finance to successfully deliver projects
• Have a sense of owning the tasks / project from start to delivery

• Degree in Financial Engineering / Computer Science / Quant related disciplines
• 3 - 8 years of business analysis / product management working experience, preferably gained from Banking / Brokerage / FinTech industry
• Certification in CFA / FRM is a big plus
• Good understanding of financial products (including derivatives), databases (sql / no-sql), trading lifecycle and architecture
• Excellent skills in requirement analysis and business documentation writing
• Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodology and the use of Jira as a project documentation / collaboration tool
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self starter and fast learner
• Strong interest in the cryptocurrency / blockchain / trading industry
• Proficiency in both written/spoken English and Mandarin. Cantonese is a plus.
