About Palm NFT Studios

Palm NFT Studio is a collective of technology, entertainment, cryptoart and art industry leaders. The studio provides bespoke creative services for artists and rights holders looking to establish NFT marketplaces and next-generation work on Palm.

Palm NFT Studio was brought together by ConsenSys founder and Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin; film producer and owner of Heyday Films, David Heyman; and founder of world class art house HENI Group, Joe Hage. The new venture is being led by co-founder and CEO Dan Heyman, former General Manager of protocols at ConsenSys. Initial projects launching on Palm include Damien Hirst’s The Currency with Heni and Candy Digital’s digital collectible program with Major League Baseball.

Working together with creators and rights holders, Palm NFT Studio is developing the Palm ecosystem on Ethereum to be both scalable and sustainable.

About the role

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing AML surveillance by conducting reviews of high risk clients using a risk-based approach. This role is responsible for transaction monitoring, sanctions, adverse media and Pep screenings, as well as investigations. This position will play an integral role in shaping Palm NFT Studio’s compliance program. You will act as the first line of defense by detecting suspicious activity and keeping bad actors off of the platform. You will be skilled at recognizing common fraud typologies. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of the Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Fraud, Compliance & Risk and work cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering, Legal and Strategy & Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts
• Transaction Monitoring and alert clearing
• Sanctions, pep, adverse media alert clearing
• Know Your Client
• Investigations into suspicious activity
• Investigative research utilizing internal systems
• Perform reviews of potential high risk customers
• Onboard individuals as well as entities
• Reach out directly to users for compliance
• Work with a globally distributed team
• Utilize reports, databases and macros to efficiently monitor compliance requirements
• Work with large data sets in order to present findings to leadership
• Use customer risk scoring models in accordance with departmental processes, policies and procedures
• Document compliance processes
• Leverage compliance tools to assess customer risk

Required skills

• Juris Doctor (JD)
• 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Compliance Analyst or Compliance Associate
• 1+ years of experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, or Sanctions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Review and conduct adverse media or sanction PEP searches and suggest account restrictions and/or account closures based on risk to Palm NFT Studio
• Ability to identify and report suspicious activity
• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of compliance analysis and reporting with the ability to identify and affect appropriate risk and control mechanisms
• Serve as an AML and Sanctions Program subject matter resource regarding compliance impact on overall business activities, product development and customer activities
• Perform extensive background investigations using public and private databases in accordance with AML and other regulatory standards to help prevent operational and reputational risk
• Strong understanding of AML BSA Compliance for CIP, KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring and OFAC/Global Sanctions
• Experience with Zendesk, Comply Advantage, Sardine, Ekata or Identity Vine (or any other comparable software)
• Used chainalysis
• Ability to address issues and suggest solutions or improvements

Bonus Points

• Experience working with Web3 or Crypto Companies
• Knowledge of, and passion for, NFTs and blockchain
• Having worked in a startup as well as in a big corporate environment
• Having worked in a remote environment
