Responsibilities
- Assist the DPO team in implementing and maintaining data protection policies and procedures.
- Help monitor compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws.
- Support the team in conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential data protection risks.
- Help mature awareness of privacy topics for all employees.
- Assist in the investigation and documentation of data protection incidents and breaches, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data protection activities and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct research on data protection laws, regulations, and best practices, and provide analysis to support the development of data protection strategies.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, Privacy, Compliance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data protection tools and software is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A keen interest in the cryptocurrency industry and a willingness to learn about its unique data protection challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or work experience in data protection, legal, or compliance is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in data protection/privacy (e.g., CIPP/E) are advantageous.
