The Starknet Foundation is a new organisation established to support the development of Starknet, a state-of-the-art layer 2 blockchain network built on top of Ethereum. Our mission is to unlock Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency, making decentralized applications more accessible and effective. We are seeking a dynamic Executive to serve as our first Head of Marketing to build and lead all marketing functions from the ground up during a critical growth period.
Responsibilities:
• Build & lead a high-performance Marketing organization from scratch, spanning Branding, Design, Comms/PR, Ecosystem, Digital/Social, Events & Community marketing.
• Spearhead all marketing efforts with the goal of driving awareness & amplification of both Starknet & broader ecosystem narratives and initiatives.
• Lead the messaging & branding efforts across online channels (X, Discord, TG, Signal, etc.) as well as in-person events, from industry conferences to Hacker Houses and meet-ups.
• Drive demand generation, user acquisition, customer expansion, and brand awareness through innovative, data-driven campaigns.
• Partner closely with other internal orgs (Growth, BD, Product Partnerships) to lead go-to-market efforts for releases, launches, and growth initiatives.
• Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistency in brand narrative & GTM strategies, and represent the Foundation as a Leader & speaker for media and industry events.
• Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, supporting all strategic initiatives of the Foundation.
Requirements:
• Accomplished Leader and Manager with successful track record building high-performance teams from scratch in the Marketing and web3 areas.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to marketing tactics and execution.
• Expert at multi-channel marketing and growth strategies, specifically in early-stage and high-growth organizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of audiences.
• An established network in the web3 ecosystem & relevant media outlets.
• Substantial working understanding of blockchain technologies (Ethereum, Layer 2 scaling solutions, DeFi) with the capability of communicating with both technical & non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel and work across timezones.
