DESCRIPTION:

The Compliance Analyst position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Analyst will be a key member of the compliance team responsible for monitoring the changing legislative and regulatory environment broadly, identifying and communicating impactful developments.

This position is based at Foundry HQ in Rochester, NY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stay current with legislative and regulatory environment relating to blockchain and cryptocurrency;
• Collaborate with internal business partners with onboarding process of prospective clients;
• Review and contribute to compliance training materials;
• Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with other lines of businesses and stakeholders;
• Propose practical and technological solutions to compliance issues, balancing efficiency, and regulatory risks; and
• Support the Compliance Officer with ongoing projects and any ad-hoc requests.

ABOUT YOU:

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience;
• Minimum 3 years of prior experience working within financial services with an understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory concepts;
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment;
• Ability to distill and discern information from guidance, regulations and legislation;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision;
• Strong passion for blockchain technology and digital assets; and
• Positive attitude with great sense of humor.

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Prior experience working in crypto space
• Relevant industry certification
