About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced QA Engineer with Automation (Python) and Manual testing skills to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with our talented product, development, and project management teams to ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers.

You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing and will have the opportunity to develop and implement automated testing frameworks from scratch. You will also have the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, share ownership in the company's success and make a significant impact in a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop automated testing framework for UI and API testing using Python.
  • Continuously improve our testing processes and automation frameworks.
  • Write and execute manual test cases and convert them into automation scripts.
  • Develop and execute QA artifacts (Test plan, Test cases, RTM) to ensure that software products meet the highest quality standards for each product iteration.
  • Identify, report and track defects using issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Analyze test results and provide feedback to the Product and Development teams in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meets end-user expectations.
  • Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency.
  • Be a quality advocate and ensure issues are mitigated well before they reach QA (shift left approach mindset)

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in QA Industry
  • At least 2 years of experience in Python programming language and automation.
  • Strong experience in UI and API automation using Python.
  • Familiarity with Git, Git Actions/Jenkins, and other CI tools.
  • Skills to write SQL queries to perform data validation in Database.
  • Resourceful, flexible and adaptable; no task is too big or too small.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC concepts.
  • Understanding of Agile teams, events and artifacts.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, latest frameworks, and the trade-offs of existing automation/testing solutions.
  • A demonstrated product-oriented mindset, creativity, and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
  • Prior experience working in a DevOps environment leveraging Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Knowledge of Zephyr Scale or similar Test Case Management tools to write and execute test cases.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in FinTech Organizations
  • Non functional testing using Locust Python
  • Knowledge of Blockchain technology
  • Experience in Crypto or knowledge of Capital Markets.
  • Ability to test Smart Contracts.

This role is based in New York City and will be expected to work from our New York office in a hybrid model Monday - Wednesday.

(NYC only) Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $75,000.00 - $95,000.00. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
