About the role

At Palm NFT Studios, we are not only looking to establish ourselves as the leader in the NFT space but also ensure that our roles are a break from the standard and sometimes dull norm. A Tax Manager role could easily be thought of in this way.. but not at Palm NFT Studio!

Our Tax Manager will serve as the face of Palm NFT Studio to help establish a dynamic financial model, which Palm will use in financial planning, cash runway analysis, fundraising, and M&A projects

This really is an exciting opportunity for the correct candidate to provide effective financial analysis and reporting to multiple enterprise clients within the Arts and Entertainment world as well as partners working within our growing Palm network. You will be expected to have previous business partnering skills, reporting to several stakeholders with a natural attention to detail, ability to multitask and be a fluent, strong and confident communicator.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely filing of annual tax returns and any statutory reports worldwide
• Tracks filing, registration and reporting requirements by country
• Manages relationships with outside tax advisors
• Advises on tax and reporting obligations in new and potential markets
• Advises on tax related risks with respect to new product rollouts and acquisitions
• Assists in planning for tax efficient entity structuring
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly sales tax filings for the company and its marketplace transactions worldwide using Avalara software
• Assist client reporting team in onboarding of new marketplace clients and resolution of sales tax related matters
• Assist with financial and client audits
• Lead transfer pricing and sales tax studies

Required Skills

• Interest in the crypto industry and NFTs
• Technical understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles, min. 3 yrs finance or accounting experience preferred
• 8-10 yrs of experience
• Ideally has worked for big tax advisory practice and has broad experience domestically and internationally with respect to tax
• Interest or experience in crypto/blockchain industry a must
• CPA strongly preferred
• Experience using Avalara software strongly preferred

Bonus Points

• Experience working in a start-up culture or within industries such as, Entertainment, Gaming, Production (TV or Film), Advertising or a Marketplace (Amazon, Etsy, etc.)
