What we do: 

We’re the team behind Presto, a robust platform for seamless deployment and management of zkEVM and optimistic rollups, abstracting away complexity for sustainable mainstream blockchain adoption. In addition, our reliable Stakeway infrastructure and deep expertise - secures $1B of digital assets, helping unlock non-custodial staking opportunities for institutional players.

We’re seeking a dilligent Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Stakeway team and help us on the mission of accelerating staking and digital asset adoption at the institutional level. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Take ownership of managing the existing Stakeway infrastructure, CI/CD set-up, workload deployment tools, and other in-house tooling
• Work on technical product and solutions roadmaps to devise and implement secure and scalable performance improvements.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and systems to streamline operations and increase infrastructure efficiency
• Monitor system and server performance and health, as well as troubleshoot and report on issues with data centers
• Participate in the operational on-call rotations
• Provide mentorship to junior developers, participate in the hiring process as per the team’s needs, and eventually assume a leadership position within the team

Requirements and needed skills:
 

• Strong proficiency in deploying and managing container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and Nomad on bare-metal machines
• Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python, Go, and Typescript; demonstrated ability to develop and deploy new features in applications.
• Comprehensive understanding (or resonating passion to learn) of Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt
• Exceptional drive and proactive mindset. You are not afraid to step up and take ownership.
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and concurrent management of multiple high-value projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transfer knowledge in a seemless and engaging manner
• Comfort with Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban)

Nice to have:
 

• Experience with multi-region, multi-data center setup
• Experience with implementing ISO27001, SOC2 compliance framework
• Experience leading a small DevOps team
• Familiarity and/or strong passion for PoS blockchain ecosystems (e.g. Ethereum, Cosmos, Avalanche, etc.)
• Direct experience with deploying, managing, and troubleshooting in the context of blockchain infrastructure
• Experience working in fast-paced, remote-first startup environments
