Compliance Officer
Job Description
The Mina Foundation stewards the Mina Protocol - the world's lightest blockchain, powered by participants. Our team is remote, and funded by top investors (including Coinbase Ventures, Polychain, Metastable, and Three Arrows). The Mina Foundation is overseen by a stellar team of directors who are industry-leading experts.
Mina Foundation seeks an experienced Compliance Officer. You will shape the compliance culture of the Mina Foundation, and work closely with the General Counsel.
Responsibilities
- Manage and implement Foundation’s AML/KYC policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Community team in reviewing external communications to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure employee’s compliance with various policies and procedures, including insider trading policy and data retention policy.
- Assist the General Counsel with agreement drafting and organization.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in compliance at a blockchain start-up or financial institution.
- General understanding of federal securities laws.
- Passion for learning about the blockchain industry.
- JD is a plus, but not required.
