Responsibilities

• Building and manage existing relationships with university partners, licensing offices, professors, and accelerators to accelerate the adoption of Internet Computer and blockchain related education into university curriculums
• Attending key university industry events and network with top researchers, professors, and students doing meaningful work within the blockchain industry
• Leading the development of programs and strategies that supercharge talent acquisition from top universities into the DFINITY Foundation and associated ecosystem projects
• Leading the continued development of educational materials related to the Internet Computer for online learning services such as EdX, Coursera, Udemy, etc.
• Collaborating on the development and execution of strategies for DFINITY Foundation hackathons and conferences aimed at university students
• Developing ideas for new university focused events and content, including identifying speakers that can provide a diverse and balanced perspective for student groups and guest lectures
• Traveling globally as needed, in relation to business development and talent acquisition.
• Leading educational discussion as needed and creating content that can explain technical concepts to a wider audience
• Delivering important feedback to the DFINITY Foundation team on the progress of associated programs
• Keeping up-to-date with blockchain technology, news and trends within the larger crypto ecosystem.

Requirements

• Masters degree in education, computer science, engineering or other relevant field
• 3-5+ years of business development experience, including work with university research groups. Existing knowledge or network of top professors and blockchain focused organizations a plus
• 2+ years experience leading collaborative programs with university students or university groups
• Proven ability to understand emerging technologies, including blockchain, robotics, sensors, AI, mobile communications, or AR
• Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Experience in leading complex, multi-team and cross-geographic projects to success
• Well-read and passionate about blockchain technology with a passion for continued learning
• Exceptional analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent at collaborating with many contributors
