What we're looking for

We're seeking an experienced illustrator that can take highly technical concepts and turn them into easy-to-understand infographics. This role requires you to flex your artistic side as well as have expertise in creating flowcharts and diagrams. Our perfect candidate will have a technical background or ability to understand complex technical concepts (such as in programming languages, blockchain) alongside excellent illustration skills and an eye for layout, color and impeccable craftsmanship. You will attend meetings with the technical team, or receive videos or notes, and turn them into infographics to explain how these concepts work. It's not just making someone else's charts looks pretty, you will need to propose the best way to present these ideas to be easy to understand.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings or receive notes from the technical team
• Understand complex technical concepts, ask questions, gain clarity
• Create flowcharts, diagrams, infographics, illustrations
• Build and manage a library of illustrations and design elements for consistency
• Collaborate with teams using whiteboarding and flowchart apps (Miro, Figma)
• Work in vector drawing apps (Adobe Illustrator)
• Help create needed graphics for presentations, such as technical or sales decks
• Work with video team to animate illustrations
• Work closely with the technical leads and creative director

Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts. (Optional)
• Strong proficiency of vector design software like Adobe Illustrator
• Design experience in online collaboration tools to make flowcharts like Miro, Figma
• A strong portfolio of creative work
