Web3 Communications Manager, NFT

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Build and execute on a proactive communications plan (for both crypto and mainstream audiences) to drive and sustain awareness for Coinbase NFT and growing NFT related efforts including supporting product features and creator/artist announcements.
• Act as the lead for creator, brand and artist partnership communications and announcements for Coinbase NFT.
• Build product narratives and communications plans that support the company’s NFT product strategy.
• Develop and promote content from our product and engineering teams as well as Coinbase NFT creators and artists.
• Ensure Coinbase is represented at key NFT events both online and offline.
• Be available to all members of the communications team to share your experience and help with all facets of the company’s communications plan as needed.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Creative storytelling with an understanding of what stories resonate with the media today.
• You are visually creative and understand what it means to create assets that also work as an angle and strategy. You get that creating things that are visually compelling and can tell the same story that words do.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across an organization.
• You have a rare ability to take what may be seen as a “comms idea” and work in partnership with business development, influencer marketers, integrated marketers, social media strategists and insight analysts to build a 360 campaign that can come together with speed.
• A demonstrated ability to understand complex subject matter, along with the skills needed to simplify and explain these topics for a broad audience of stakeholders.
• You would consider yourself a smart minimalist. You know how to keep things simple. You know that communications can be made complex---and will resist and prevent that. You do not need or desire big budgets for big results.
• You move with influence but you’re also willing to get into the weeds and be humble about it, meaning you flourish in a 'hands-on' role, adding value at different levels
• Stellar writing and storytelling skills: prose that’s clear and concise, with an eye toward eliminating jargon.
• Strong interest in and familiarity with the NFT community.
• Native to social media platforms.
• Strategic mindset: You should bring creative solutions to every problem and never see a challenge as insurmountable.
• Grace under fire: PR + crypto equals a fast-paced working environment. You should be unflappable at crunch time, and be able to deliver a quality product under the most stressful of circumstances.

Nice to haves:

• 7-10 years relevant work experience at either a PR agency or on an in-house communications team.
• An understanding of the regulatory, security and technical landscapes influencing the state of NFTs and cryptocurrency today (and tomorrow).
• You’ve worked with artists and creators and understand the nuances of working with talent and their stakeholders.

Notice for Colorado applicants as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20). Target annual salary for this role performed in Colorado, is ($127,500)+ target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
